Auctioning

For over 30 years Bainbridges have held regular sales of antiques and general effects.

Sales are held at our purpose-built auction room situated by West Ruislip Station which is on the Underground on the Central Line and on the Chiltern Line, which travels into Marylebone mainline station.

We hold one sort of auction that covers all levels of goods. The sales are sectionalised, beginning with pictures followed by silver and plate, jewellery, art objects and small collectables, porcelain, pottery and glass, metal wares and general goods and conclude with cars, carpets and furniture.

Sales can last for up-to 9 hours. They are always held on a Thursday beginning at 11am and are held approximately 5 weeks apart. Viewing is the day before from 1 p.m.until 7 p.m. and on saleday from 9.30am

The contents of our sales are 99% privately entered, usually from deceased estates and mainly unreserved. (That included the Ming bowl we recently sold for £100,000!)

The sale Catalogues are available to view on our web site.

Bainbridges occasionally hold specialist sales, which have included boats, motor bikes and, for BT, hundreds of red telephone boxes.
